Hike Above the Clouds 2025

Experience West Marin in its full Spring beauty with breathtaking views of the Pacific, City Skyline, rushing waterfalls and creeks, dense forests, wildflower dotted meadows and unique wildlife: MOUNT TAMALPAIS STATE PARK

PLAN
We will hike a moderately rated 4.5 mile 800' elevation change loop trail along the open view Western ridge of Mt. Tamalpais, visiting the upper Cataract Falls, looping back through dense forests with creeks and open meadows full of wildflowers. Bay area nature pure!

LOGISTICS
Let's meet on Sat Apr 19 at 10:00 am sharp at the Protected content about 15 scenic miles (+/ Protected content North of the Golden Gate bridge. Leave some extra time for weekend traffic, photo stops and to get ready! Also, please car pool. Further details tba to participants.

FOOD & ENTERTAINMENT
We'll enjoy our BYO style lunch picnic near the Cataract water falls. Afterwards we'll have a tailgate after-party at the Rock Spring picnic area. Bring snacks and refreshments to share. We'll provide cold beer, wine, soft drinks (cost contribution at your discretion appreciated)😎
