Horia Romanian Movie Within European Film Festival
A brilliant feature film debut from writer and director Comănescu, in which she revives two somewhat worn-out subgenres: the coming-of-age story and the road movie. Horia (Vladimir Teca), almost 18 years old, is an idealistic village boy whose lover unfortunately lives on the other side of extremely spacious Romania. After an argument with his father, Horia hops on his father's Mobra moped and sets off to meet his lover (without permission, of course). Unforeseeable difficulties and complications quickly arise. It's a lively, beautifully told story with a touch of light-hearted humor, somewhat reminiscent of last year's Slovenian EUNIC film festival success Riders. An unforgettable journey awaits you!
