Salacious Stories of Chicago's Past - Lecture Series
Do you enjoy history?
One of my favorite non-profits offers a pay-what-you-can lecture series every winter in former speakeasies. This season they'll be exploring some of the juiciest, most controversial affairs of Chicago’s past. Learn about criminal enterprises and society improprieties, corrupt politicians, civil unrest, greased palms, and other shady dealings that'll leave you clutching your pearls.
FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SERIES:
-The lectures will be held every Tuesday at 7:00 pm, starting January 7 and ending March 25.
-Tickets are free but you need to reserve your place through Eventbrite - reservations open two weeks in advance of each lecture and sell out quickly.
-Donations are encouraged at the door (they suggest a tax-deductible donation of $ Protected content attendee).
-The secret door to the lecture area opens at 6:30 pm. Seats are first-come first-served.
-Lectures last Protected content . Then there is an informal Q&A and group conversation.
I will only create events for the lectures I will attend.
THIS LECTURE is: "Unforgiveable Frank Lloyd Wright" by author, historian, and tour guide Adam Selzer.
Frank Lloyd Wright made an impact on American architecture, but he burnt a lot of bridges along the way. Learn about the messy scandals that defined his career - which they won't tell you about on his house tours.
I will email everyone who RSVPs with the link to reserve as soon as tickets are available.
