Music of the Baroque: Bach's Christmas Oratorio
Let's get into the spirit of the season attending this concert presented by Music of the Baroque at the Protected content .
The performance starts at 7:30 pm. We will meet and greet in the lobby of the Protected content at 7:00 pm.
The program of the event will consist of The Christmas Oratorio, BWV248 from Joan Sebastian Bach.
From the opening chorus’s joyful, exuberant trumpets and timpani, the Christmas story unfolds in dramatic narrative, moving arias, and stirring chorales. Dame Jane Glover brings together the Music of the Baroque Chorus and Orchestra with an impressive cast of soloists, including the “winningly fervent” (The Telegraph) Gwilym Bowen in the role of the Evangelist, for this powerful and passionate work.
