β¨ In the age of the glory of the Roman Empire,
Lucius (Paul Mescal) was living a peaceful life. Still, his beloved wife was killed and he was taken prisoner during an invasion by the Roman army led by General Acacius (Pedro Pascal). Having lost everything, Lucius vowed to take revenge on Acacius, bought by a mysterious slave trader, Macrinus (Denzel Washington) and travelled to Rome. There, he became a gladiator, and with a desire for revenge in his heart, he stepped into the battle that awaited him in the Colosseum, an arena where only strength matters.
