Dear group,

this time we will discover a little known beautiful natural lake at the border between Tuscany and Umbria.

We will be walking along the Reclamation Path and discover the long history of hydraulic works that affected the body of water.

A full spring day will be ideal to let us enjoy the wide landscapes of the countryside and the lake; we might be able to observe some bird of pray, grebes, herons, or with some luck, some rare migratory bird.

Around the lake we could also watch some interesting artifact, like the famous towers "Beccati questo" and "Beccati quello" - that we could translate as "Take this" and "Take that" (!)

Once our walk is over we will reach the small town of Chiusi, where a tour in the city center will let us discover the Etruscan origin of the place.

Here's some characteristics of the excursion:

Total length: about 16.5 km
Total climb altitude: Protected content
Expected duration: Protected content
Difficulty level: easy
Duration: day trip, packed mid-day lunch

Required equipment:
Suitable dressing for the weather forecast, trekking shoes, water 1.5L min.

Carpooling will be attempted to reach the starting point of the hike but seats for everybody cannot be guaranteed.

Therefore, please consider using your own mean of transportation to reach the starting point; I'd be really grateful if you can offer seats to other participants!

Pls send me a private message to let me know if you need a lift and to provide your Whatsapp contact.
