Winter Sea Walk

Dear group,

who said the sea is a summer thing? Well, we're not going to swim but have the blanket of blue as the background of our walk.

We're going to walk on a ring path, in the countryside between Casale Marittimo and Bibbona, two enchanting villages in low Val di Cecina, in the province of Pisa and Livorno, respectively.

We will be walking mainly on dirt roads and pass by the strategic Casalvecchio hill, where there was an Etruscan settlement, to eventually get to Bibbona.

The territory is very harmonious and we will pass through vineyards and olive groves with the sea and the islands in the background: Elba, Capraia, Gorgona and Corsica.

Required equipment:
Suitable dressing for the weather forecast, trekking shoes or with threaded sole, water 1.5L min.

Carpooling will be attempted to reach the starting point of the hike but seats for everybody cannot be guaranteed.

Therefore, please consider using your own mean of transportation to reach the starting point; I'd be really grateful if you can offer seats to other participants!
