On the Trail of Romanie Brooks and Incendiary Artists
This is a walking tour in Italian language where you travel through places in Florence where Romanie Brooks lived and worked and is there no sign that recalls her existence . She was a free american artist, who made her freedom to love, to live, , to create the meaning of her own existence. Through this short journey, the life of Romanie and these "incendiary" women emerges from that invisibility to which history condemns many of the women who have dared to rebel and build new models of life.
By bus n° Protected content will go to Settignano where we will reach, after about 20 minutes of walking, La Capponcina, the villa where Romaine Brooks, in Protected content , met Gabriele D'Annunzio; Then we return by bus to Piazza della Libertà and we wil take bus C1 to reach the Uffizi and we walk up to Villa Sant'Agnese, where Romanie lived during her stay in Florence.
This is not a ring route . Please obtain 3 bus tickets to use public transport.
